who am i

2008_mesh_2I moved to San Jose, California from Taipei, Taiwan in the summer of 2000; from being a student to getting married to start working on a career; from being unfamiliar with the US to being acclimated into the cultre; from not knowing how to cook to being able to handle a party; the life experiences in US has made me grow.  I have gotten to know myself, and learned from others that the possibility and opportunity that California provides is unique and special.  I am glad that I have taken on this challenge.

The San Francisco Bay Area is a unique place - the location, the weather, the quality of life, the job opportunity and the diversity are the reason many people come from around the world and choose this place to call home.  They each contribute their specialty, raise their children, and fulfill their dreams.  San Jose, which is where I live, is the tenth largest city in the country – toward the North you can go to San Francisco and Napa, toward the South you can go to Monterey, Death Valley, Santa Barbara, and LA, toward the East you can go to Tahoe, Yosemite – it is very centrally located.  Although we don’t have big seasonal changes like the East Coast, a place for skiing is only a 2 hour drive.  What’s not to like about Silicon Valley.

I LOVE learning, anything that helps me grow and improve are great.  I love reading, writing, traveling, gardening and photography.  I like to read autobiography of successful people, especially successful women.  I also enjoy reading inspirational, motivational, sales and marketing, finance and investment, life style, gourmet food and travel related books or articles.  I truly believe “He who keeps company with the wolf will learn to howl”.  I personally like to keep positive, enthusiastic and optimistic attitudes towards life, and I want to be with friends with like-kind people.  I am attracted to what travel can bring, from the culture, the food, the people and everything in between.

I bought my first digital single lens camera in 2006 and I began my serious journey into photography.  The more I learn, the more respect I have for professional photographers because I know every great picture is only possible with the greatest knowledge, skills and patience.  I love to shoot food, houses, landscape, flower and products.  Check out My Flickr!

I believe that success is not a matter of chance; it's a matter of CHOICE.
