My friend Joyce email me this Dear Photograph YouTube Video News Clip. It's about Taylor Jones who got an idea from looking through old family photo album - what if I took a new picture with an old picture at the same location?
He then did a bunch of new images this way and upload them to a newly created website called: Dear Photograph. Before he know it, he started getting lots of pictures from the world who got inspired from Taylor, and decided to do the same thing and share the stories behind each photo.
Like this one. The son took a new picture with his dad in the location where his parents' picture were taken before mom passed away.
That remined me Art Rogers's show in Napa. He specialize in Black & White family portraits. He showcase the family portraits that he took in the past 30 years with the same family, same location, same posts, and retake a new one between 10 to 30 years that show you the time and the changes in every family's life.
What a great idea from Taylor Jones and Art Rogerts.
